CM Punk Responds To WrestleMania 33 Rumors In Glorious Fashion

The WWE is a place where exits don't last very long if the opportunity for business and money is at all involved, and that rationale would seem to include a certain CM Punk.

In recent years, the company has brought former legends back into the fold when many thought the door was completely shut. Case in point, names like The Ultimate Warrior, Bruno Sammartino, and now Goldberg have all made returns to the company in some form or fashion after years of bad blood. CM Punk's exit from the company was similarly tumultuous, and Punk has been quite vocal about his issues with the way the company treated him, both kayfabe wise and in reality.

Still, there are many who look to the prior examples listed here and see that as a beacon of hope that someday he will return to a WWE ring. That doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, though, as Punk made quite clear with a perfect response to a fan's question on Twitter.

Punk was asked "are the rumors about you returning at WrestleMania 33 next year true?". Punk responded "Yes. I also prevented a Ford plant from moving to Mexico. It's true. Going to be big. So big. Bigly. Tremendously bigly."

So that's a no then right? He also got a dig in at Trump, so two birds with one stone. All he needed was a Triple H dig to score a perfect trifecta.

Many weren't sure if Punk would continue his UFC career after his debut loss to Mickey Gall, but if you've kept up with his prior history, you know he isn't one to give up on something after a setback. It's unknown when he will fight again or who his next opponent will be, but odds are you'll see him in the octagon again.

Even with his time in UFC, you can't rule out an eventual return to the WWE down the line, but the contract would more than likely need to have some iron clad details included to keep the same things from happening again that happened during his previous run.

At least he won't have to worry about working with Ryback again.
