Twitter has become the new preferred method to either announcing your interest in a particular acting role or accidentally giving away a role you already have. That might be the case with beloved funnyman John Cleese if his recent Twitter activity is anything to go by.

Eagle-eyed Twitter user Dennis Lamb noticed that the official Batman v Superman UK account and photographer Clay Enos both followed comedian and actor John Cleese. That wouldn't be a big deal in itself if not for two things. No. 1, Enos has been involved with both Suicide Squad and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and will most likely be involved with other DC films. No. 2, this is the same pattern that prompted the announcement of Joe Manganiello playing Deathstroke in the Batman film.

Earlier this year, Manganiello followed Justice League director Zack Snyder, and his tweets also indicated that he would be in the same area that Justice League was filming in. There's a little less to go on here, but it is similar in nature, so it can't be written off just yet.

If he was cast in a DC film, there are plenty of opportunities for him. The best so far though are from Reddit users who have thrown out options like Deadman, Dr. Fate, and Granny Goodness, and other recommendations have included Darkseid's ally G. Gordon Godfrey, who has helped him int he past as he attempted to take over the earth.

Hopefully, we'll hear something either way soon, but in the meantime let us know who you would like to see Cleese play in the comments!

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Justice League lands in theaters on November 17, 2017.
