Con Man returned for season two last week on Comic-Con HQ, and the show jumped directly back into the wackiness of season one. The parody series, showing the story of Wray (Alan Tudyk) as he deals with life after his cult hit sci-fi series Firefl- er, uh, Spectrum was canceled too soon, sees him this season trying out some commercial work in an effort to raise his status. In the next two episodes, debuting on Comic-Con HQ tomorrow, Thursday December 15, Wray hires Bobbie as his agent and suits up for a commercial that's out of this world.

Season 2 of Con Man will see guest stars galore from across the genre entertainment spectrum (no pun intended), including Kristian Bruun (Orphan Black), Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dollhouse), Echo Kellum (Arrow), and even Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk). In fact, Ferrigno has a very special moment in season two.

"Lou Ferrigno in a musical" were the four words Tudyk uttered when Comicbook.com asked him to tease the most ridiculous thing he did to a guest star this season during the Rogue One press junket. "Yeah, Lou Ferrigno doing the musical version of 'Mice and Men," called, 'I'm with Stupid.' That's pretty much the most ridiculous thing that we do. He's fantastic, he was fun to work with. He does a great job."

While we sadly don't have a clip of that to show you here, the clips above should provide plenty of laughs to tide you over.

About Con Man Episodes 203 and 204:

  • Episode 3: Them's the Breaks - After firing his agents in the last episode, Wray is forced to hire Bobbie (Mindy Sterling) as his new agent. Faith breaks up with Wray and Jack. Dale gives Wray advice on how to be manly.
  • Episode 4: A Small Step for Manly - Wray shoots a commercial to impress the director Diego Alfonso (Jon Huertas) by performing his own stunts against the warnings of the Randy the Stunt Coordinator (Tomah Pinkett). After a swollen lip, a black eye and a squished testicle, Wray catches Diego's eye for the role of Dick Trimmings, the sidekick.

"Con Man centers on the post-show life of Wray Nerely (Alan Tudyk) the co-star of "Spectrum," a sci-fi series, which was canceled before its time and went on to become a cult classic beloved by fans. Wray's good friend, Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) starred as the series Captain and has gone on to become a major celebrity, while Wray (Tudyk) hasn't found his desired level of stardom. Wray is the begrudging guest of sci-fi conventions, comic book store appearances, and different pop culture events; however, everything is not as it seems from the outside. The series will explore these events and all the weird and crazy things that happen to them along the way."

Alan Tudyk can also be seen on the big screen starting tomorrow night in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, where he stars as K-2SO, a reprogrammed Imperial Security Droid. Tudyk did full performance capture for the character, wearing a motion capture suit and stilts on set, which sounds like fodder for future episodes of Con Man to us.
