In final moments of the midseason finale, Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) returned to the Arrow-cave and discovered a female intruder standing in front of the costume bank. When she turned around, she revealed herself to be none other than Laurel Lance (who was killed off last season) and simply said, "Hi, Ollie."
The revelation shocked Arrow fans and left them scratching their heads, trying to figure out how in the world did Laurel cheat death. Well, The CW has now released a new trailer for the midseason premiere and it reveals a big twist that poses even more questions.
What's the big twist? At the end of the trailer, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) uses her Canary Cry on Oliver and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards). "That's not our Laurel," Ollie says. And faux-Laurel coldly replies, "Finally, it's about time someone figured it out."
So, who is she? I would guess that she is Earth-2 Laurel, better known to us as Black Siren. You'll notice that this Laurel doesn't wear or need Cisco's technological necklace to scream at a high frequency. And since Black Siren is a meta-human and can naturally produce the Canary Cry, that makes the most sense.
Based on the characters from DC, ARROW is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, with executive producers Greg Berlanti (The Flash, Supergirl), Marc Guggenheim (Eli Stone, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters), Andrew Kreisberg (The Flash, Supergirl), Wendy Mericle (Desperate Housewives, Eli Stone) and Sarah Schechter (Supergirl, Blindspot).
