All you ghouls get ready, because we finally get a new image and logo for the live-action Tokyo Ghoul film. The new image shows the actress Fumika Shimizu in her costume as Toka Kirishima, the heroine from the series. We also get a sneak peek at the new logo for the live-action rendition of the story.

This photo is the second following the image unveiled last month showing the live action actor in costume as Ken Kaneki, wearing the legendary ghoul mask. Ken Kaneki is played by Masataka Kubota, who is known for his roles as Light in Death Note.

The film is set to open in Japan in summer of 2017, and will follow the original story by Sui Ishida, which is described by Viz Media as follows:

"Ghouls live among us, the same as normal people in every way - except their craving for human flesh. Shy Ken Kaneki is thrilled to go on a date with the beautiful Rize. But it turns out that she's only interested in his body - eating it, that is. When a morally questionable rescue transforms him into the first half-human half-Ghoul hybrid, Ken is drawn into the dark and violent world of Ghouls, which exists alongside our own."

Tokyo Ghoul is a popular manga serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump that ran from 2011 to 2015, and is currently serializing the sequel to the original series, Tokyo Ghoul:re. The manga has two anime series, several movie projects, and games as well.
