Watch One Piece Fans Freak Out Over [Spoiler's] Marriage Plans

If you are a fan of One Piece, then you may be hearing wedding bells in the future for one Straw-Hat Pirate. The long-running series isn't afraid to dip its toes into romance, but even dedicated fans were surprised to hear that one member of Monkey D. Luffy's crew was engaged. Manga readers will be familiar with the on-going escapades surrounding Sanji's stunning engagement to Charlotte Pudding, but anime fans are still securely in the dark about the ordeal. And, now, the series' publisher is taking to the streets to inform others about Sanji's proposal.

To celebrate the upcoming release of One Piece vol. 84, Shueisha hit the streets of Japan to record reactions of pedestrians as they heard the news. Of course, given One Pieces immense popularity abroad, pretty much every passerby knew of Sanji if they weren't a fan. And, unsurprisingly, most fans were stunned by the manga's story twist.

Of course, manga readers will know more about the One Piece shocker. If you are not down with Sanji getting hitched, then you may find yourself vindicated in the coming weeks. In the most recent chapters of One Piece, fans learned that Sanji's betrothed was not as sweet as she seemed. Pudding revealed her true colors after she imprisoned members of the Straw-Hat Crew and teased her plans to assassinate Sanji's entire family at their wedding. The bride-to-be knew Sanji did not want to marry her out of his own will, and Pudding would not stand for the slight. So, in the coming weeks, fans should expect to learn whether Sanji's arranged marriage goes through or not.
