It's here! Warner Bros. Japan has released the first full-length trailer for its live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie. The video, which can be seen below, features first-looks at several of the film's most famous characters.

Despite the lack of English subtitles, fans can glean plenty of information from this brand-new trailer. Audiences are giving a close-up look at Edward Elric in action as he uses his alchemy stills to take on opponents. Alphonse is also shown fighting off some unsavory people, and it is almost impossible to tell the character is made completely out of CGI.

However, it is the the trailer's updated character roster that has fans freaking out. The new footage gives fans their first-look at iconic characters like Roy Mustang, Winry Rock Bell, Maes Hughes, and the Homunculi. Villains like Lust and Envy were given a spotlight, and Gluttony was also impossible to ignore. The trio were shown using their strange alchemy skills, and their CGI highlights look surprisingly good for a Japanese anime adaptation.

Earlier this month, some lucky fans at Anime Expo 2017 got a first-look at Fullmetal Alchemist. Attendees were able to sit in on a panel and meet with the film's stars and director. It was there news broke that the Fullmetal Alchemist movie will be the first of a pair.

"So every character that we know and love in the Fullmetal Alchemist movie are coming along with a confirmed Part 2 to the movie," Twitter user @Nico_NVS reported on Twitter. When asked to confirm if the cast was referring to a live-action sequel, the fan wrote, "Another movie is confirmed for the Fullmetal Alchemist movie so basically Part 2 since the anime is so long."

If you are not familiar with Fullmetal Alchemist, then you have plenty of time to watch the anime before its live-action film arrives. The series follows brothers Edward and Alphonse after their mother tragically passes. They attempt to use alchemy to resurrect her, but the attempt takes Edward's arm and leg - and it takes Alphonse's entire body. Determined to get their bodies restored, Edward and Alphonse try to become State Alchemists so they can find the location of a powerful item known as the Philosopher's Stone. But their journey ultimately leads them into a seedy world of government corruption and mass genocide.

This year, fans of the shonen series will be able to see more of the Elric Brothers than they have for some time. In December, Warner Bros. Japan will release the first live-action adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist.

Fullmetal Alchemist will debut in Japan on December 1.
