'Dragon Ball FighterZ' Trailer Gives First Look At Super Saiyan Blue Goku And Vegeta

Bandai Namco revealed a new trailer showcasing two of Dragon Ball FighterZ's most anticipated characters, the Super Saiyan Blue forms of both Goku and Vegeta.

The trailer for the two fighters was revealed on Friday during Gamescom. While the appearance of the two Dragon Ball fighters isn't totally unexpected after they were previewed earlier in the month, this is the first time that players have been able to see them in action in-game as they take on other popular fighters.

Earlier this month, the two were previewed after some images of the Super Saiyan Blue variations showed up in an issue of Weekly Jump. The still images of the two high-powered fighters were enough to get Dragon Ball fans excited about the game, but the trailer for the two makes them look even more impressive than you'd expect them to be.

Each of them brings some of their signature moves to fights, Goku having his 10x God Kamehameha and Vegeta equipped with his iconic Final Flash Attack. Some images seen in the Weekly Jump preview also indicated that Goku might be able to sue his Kaio-Ken while he's in his Super Saiyan Blue form, and the trailer seems to corroborate that theory.

Another question surrounding the initial reveal of the two fighters was whether or not Goku and Vegeta would be able to transform into their Super Saiyan Blue forms in-game or if the Super Saiyan versions would be entirely separate characters. Addressing that question, Bandai Namco did confirm recently that the two fighters will be separate characters that'll both be unlockable in-game. Those that pre-order the physical version of the game will be able to play as them right away.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is scheduled to release in February of 2018 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC with a closed beta beginning on September 16th.
