Attack on Titan is back and bigger than ever with the release of Season 2 this past weekend. We have more good news for fans of the series, as Jason DeMarco, Senior VP and creative director for Adult Swim, has confirmed that Toonami will begin airing the new season of Attack On Titan.

It was announced on April 1st, which lead many to believe that the announcement may be a joke, but DeMarco has confirmed its sincerity on Twitter multiple times. The second season of the anime will begin airing on Adult Swim's popular anime block Toonami on April 29th. This week Toonami also randomly dropped episodes of Rick and Morty in the spot of Dragon Ball Super, and Samurai Jack, but both shows will be returning to normal next week.
The new season of Attack on Titan premiered on April 1st in Japan on 21 networks, and simulcast on multiple streaming service such as Funimation and Crunchyroll. Both sites will simulcast the entire season on the same day episodes release in Japan. For those unfamiliar with the series, Funimation summarizes the new season below:
Eren Jaeger swore to wipe out every last Titan, but in a battle for his life he wound up becoming the thing he hates most. With his new powers, he fights for humanity's freedom facing the monsters that threaten his home. After a bittersweet victory against the Female Titan, Eren finds no time to rest—a horde of Titans is approaching Wall Rose and the battle for humanity continues!
