Warning! Spoilers for Dragon Ball Super's 110th episode lie below!

Dragon Ball fans probably think they can't get any more hype for Goku's upcoming transformation, but then they'd be wrong. A brand-new preview has been released for Dragon Ball Super's next episode, and it shows just how terrifying Goku's power-up is going to be.

As you can see above, the preview begins simply enough with Goku and Jiren fighting hand-to-hand. The special's animation looks smooth despite its action-packed scenes, but it is the trailer's end that is grabbing attention. Fans are shown Goku at first when he powers up his Kaio-Ken whilst Super Saiyan Blue. The technique won't have much of an effect on Jiren, so it will come down to Goku unleashing a new form if he wants to win.

Fans can see Goku powering up like the good-old days. The Saiyan is seen with pupil-less eyes as a few veins bulge in his forehead. Goku is exerting enough energy that the ki aura around him in dark blue, and his gritted teeth look rather intimidating. Eventually, the screen whites out as Goku's energy reaches its peak, and the next time fans see the hero is a stunning one.

The preview ends with rubble floating mid-air as Goku's body rises from the ground. When the hero stands up, fans are shown Goku's exposed back as his usual outfit has been shredded. The preview comes to a close with a previously released shot of Goku's new form up close, and fans are losing it over the transformation's build-up.

After all, Dragon Ball has built up a certain status quo for its new transformations. The first time Goku went Super Saiyan is all but burned into the mind of fans, and the event was truly epic. Goku's intense screaming and explosion of power was unlike anything fans had seen, and the hero's upcoming form seems to be following in its predecessor's footsteps. Dragon Ball Super may very well introduce one of the franchise's most intense transformation sequences to date, and fans are more than hopeful the show delivers.

Dragon Ball Super airs on Crunchyroll Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. CST. Toonami also airs the English dub on Adult Swim Saturdays at 11:30 p.m.
