Amazing Spider-Man 2: Paul Giamatti To Play Rhino

If you thought it was surprising when Jamie Foxx was cast as Electro in Amazing Spider-Man 2, then wait until you get a load of this. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paul Giamatti is currently up for consideration to play The Rhino in Amazing Spider-Man 2. Apparently, The Rhino role is a dream role for Giamatti. In the past, Giamatti has expressed interest in the role both in an interview with ShowbizSpy and in an appearance on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. In addition to Giamatti, it was also revealed that British actress Felicity Jones is also in negotiations for a role in Amazing Spider-Man 2. It was not known what character Felicity Jones was auditioning for, but if we had to speculate, we might guess Black Cat as a possibility. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is being directed by Marc Webb. Production is supposed to start on Amazing Spider-Man 2 in February 2013 with an already announced release date of May 2, 2014.
