The Crow Reboot Finally Casts Its Lead

Luke Evans, who is appearing in The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Fast & Furious 6, has been cast as Eric Draven in Relativity Media's reboot of James O'Barr's The Crow, Deadline reports. The report suggests that Evans was the first choice after Bradley Cooper dropped out, but his busy schedule had initially been an obstacle. The studio had reportedly been considering Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy and Alexander Skarsgard for the role in the meantime. Evans is set to appear in Dracula Year Zero, which will be released next year, and as a result The Crow will be pushed back slightly to accommodate his shooting schedule.
