Guys Choice Awards Dixon Brothers

The Guys Choice Awards are a little bit different than most awards shows. Even though the Guys Choice Awards don't air until Wednesday, June 12, Spike TV has already announced all the winners for the Guys Choice Awards, as the show taped over the weekend. Of course, this isn't the Oscars, so most of the fun in watching is seeing the event, rather than in finding out who won. Stars from The Walking Dead were nominated for awards in three categories, and they won in two of their nominated categories. Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne on The Walking Dead, was nominated for the Jean-Claude Gahd Dam award. She won the Guys Choice Award, beating out Ronda Rousey. Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker were nominated in the Brotherly Love category for their portrayal of brothers Daryl and Merle Dixon on The Walking Dead. The Dixon Brothers won the Guys Choice Award, beating out Super Bowl coaching brothers John and Jim Harbaugh. We think the Dixon brothers took the award, because Daryl seemed to be genuinely upset over having to stab zombie Merle to death, but John Harbaugh didn't seem to be affected by beating his brother in the Super Bowl. Andrew Lincoln, who plays Rick Grimes on The Walking Dead, was nominated in the Most Dangerous Man category. However, he wound up losing the Guys Choice Award to fellow AMC star Bryan Cranston, who plays Walter White on Breaking Bad. The 2013 Guys Choice Awards airs on Wednesday, June 12 at 9 PM ET on Spike.
