Sabine

The newest character from Star Wars Rebels has been revealed via The Hollywood Reporter: the explosive artist, Sabine. Sabine will be voiced by Tiya Sircar and is the first female character to join the cast. Sabine is a Mandalorian (like Jango and Boba Fett) that the cast and crew of the show describe as "feisty." She is a weapons expert who loves to blow things up. "She does it with flair," Sircar says. Sabine is also a graffiti artist on the side, tagging places that the crew of the Ghost have hit before they leave. Joel Aron, CG supervisor of lighting and FX, explained that Sabine is somewhat unique in the Star Wars universe, saying, "She's adding something that we haven't really seen before in the Star Wars universe. You have a character that is expressively creative through art -- whether it's the color of her hair or what she's done to her armor." Star Wars Rebels is set between Episodes III and IV of the Star Wars Saga. The series will tell the story of how the Rebel Alliance first formed. Star Wars Rebels will debut this fall with a  one-hour movie special on the Disney Channel, followed by a regular series on Disney XD.
