On last night's episode of Talking Dead, Andrew Lincoln -- the man who plays Rick Grimes -- talked about bringing the show to the final frontier. Or, rather, bringing the final frontier to the show. During the episode -- Lincoln's first on Talking Dead -- the network celebrated his presence by allowing fans to Skype in with questions for Lincoln and Executive Producer Scott Gimple. The first question went to David from Rutherford, New Jersey, who asked which celebrity Lincoln would recruit to play himself on The Walking Dead, he had his pick from anyone in the world. During the Twitter Q&A with cast and crew on Sunday afternoon, repeated, joking references to Bill Murray (who played himself in the film Zombieland) popped up from both fans and participants and, it seems, that was the inspiration for David's question; he even mentions Murray as he begins. Lincoln, who didn't seem to pick up on the connection to the Twitter Q&A, just pressed on through the question, saying without much hesitation, "William Shatner." "That's the correct answer!" Said showrunner Scott Gimple. You can check out the video below. How likely is it that this will actually happen, though? Probably not very. "I hate cameos, they always take me out of movies," series creator Robert Kirkman told a fan during a recent Reddit AMA. "So no. It's a pet peeve of mine, as much as I like seeing myself, never." AMC's The Walking Dead hasn't been averse to cameos; they've featured recognizable zombies from horror movies like Dawn of the Dead and An American Werewolf in London as well as celebrities like Pittsburgh Steelers star Hines Ward (who also appeared briefly in The Dark Knight Rises). Most recently, Bub from Day of the Dead appeared onscreen during last week's penultimate Season Four episode, "Us."
