Fantastic Four #6

Marvel Comics has announced that Fantastic Four #6 will be an Original Sin tie-in issue. The announcement follows a teaser image, revealed last week. The issue will be written by Eisner Award-Winning writer James Robinson with art from Leonard Kirk. Ben Grimm and Johnny Storm were both parts of the fateful flight that turned them in The Thing and the Human Torch, respectively. As two members of the Fantastic Four, they have fought side-by-side and been friends ever since. Since that day, Reed Richards has tried to find a way to reverse Grimm's transformation into the Thing. Each time, he has met with failure…except once. Richards created a decvice that would cure Grimm's condition, but the Human Torch accidently destroyed it. They've kept that fact a secret for a long time, but now the secret is out. "Something I always loved about the relationship between Ben and Johnny was how much it was like brothers, bickering, poking fun of each other, pranks…great moments that felt like real family," said editor Mark Paniccia, "The secret that gets out will have a major effect on the two. It's brilliant emotional stuff. Hard hitting and heart breaking." Fantastic Four #6 will hit stands this June.
