ROM: The Space Knight Collectible Announced For San Diego Comic Con

Hasbro is celebrating the 35th Anniversary of ROM the Space Knight with a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive ROM the Space Knight Mighty Muggs figure, revealed via MTV.

Originally created as underwhelming and underselling toy by Parker Brothers, ROM the Space Knight is best known by comic fans for the ROM: SpaceKnight Marvel Comics series, written by Bill Mantlo and drawn by Sal Buscema. The comic book series had ROM teaming up with other Spaceknights - and, eventually, even the Avengers - to battle the nefarious magic-using race of Dire Wraiths. The series outlasted its inspiration, running for 75 issues before being cancelled 1986, when Marvel lost the rights to ROM.

The figure, made from 100% recycled materials, will be exclusive at Comic-Con, with a limited number being available online following the convention.
