Guardians Of The Galaxy's James Gunn Tests Out Korath's Gun

Director James Gunn has posted another of his Guardians of the Galaxy pictures of the day. While past photos have mostly featured behind-the-scenes looks at the various cast members, this one features Gunn himself handling a prop from the set.

The prop in question is actually just a prototype of the gun used in the film by Korath the Pursuer (Djimon Hounsou). Here's what Gunn had to say about it:

Post-production on Guardians of the Galaxy is now complete, and Gunn the film's cast have begun the worldwide press tour.

Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy finds space adventurer Peter Quill the object of a bounty hunt after stealing an orb coveted by a treacherous villain, but when Quill discovers the power it holds, he must find a way to rally the quartet of ragtag rivals hot on his trail to save the universe.

Guardians of the Galaxy opens in theaters August 1.
