Stephen Amell Wants To Be In The Jason Bourne Franchise

Actor Stephen Amell recently saw his take on Casey Jones hit the big screen in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows, and recently wrapped up season four of his hit show Arrow.

Now he has his sights set on another popular franchise, that being Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne series. During a panel at Wizard World Philadelphia, the actor was asked what franchise or movie would he want to be in (via our onsite reporter Brandon Davis).

"I've always been a massive fan of the Jason Bourne franchise. I just, I think that is some of the best, like combat that you'll ever see, so, um, you know, if they make three or four more Bourne movies I'm totally ready for that. I love the Jason Bourne franchise, fantastic."

The upcoming Jason Bourne sees the return of franchise star Matt Damon in the fifth iteration of the franchise. The last entry was The Bourne Legacy, which starred Jeremey Renner as a new protagonist, spinning off from events that took place during The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. In his return to the fan-favorite role, Damon's Bourne now remembers everything, but as the trailer points out, it doesn't mean he knows everything.

Jason Bourne also stars Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl), Julia Stiles (Misconduct), and Tommy Lee Jones (Criminal), and is set to hit theatres on July 29th. As for Amell, I could see him being involved in future films, but we'll just have to wait and see if that actually happens.
