Wonder Woman is heading into theaters with a mighty fine buzz surrounding it. We here at Comicbook.com gave DC's supeheroine blockbuster a favorable 4 out of 5 star review - which you can watch above! We weren't alone in that sentiment, either: the first round of critical reviews are out, and they are overwhelmingly glowing.
These days, a lot of movie fans judge a film's critical standing by getting the movie's aggregate score from sites like Rotten Tomatoes, and according to the current rankings (at the time of writing this), Wonder Woman has a highler RT score than any other DC Comics or Marvel movie.
By current stats, Wonder Woman is sitting pretty at 96% on Rotten Tomatoes; that's higher than all-time greats like Iron (94%) or Avengers (92%) - or even recent highly-acclaimed superhero films like Deadpool (84%), Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 2 (81%) or Logan (92%). Needless to say, this is, by far, the best score for a DC Extended Universe film, with Man of Steel sitting at 55%, while Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad both couldn't rise above 30%.
In fact, many viewers are comparing Wonder Woman to a milestone film like Richard Donner's Superman (93%) - a sentiment these early review scores would seem to echo. It's going to be a hard pillow to swallow for those who have grown accostumed to Marvel movies being the clear frontrunner, while the DCEU struggles; however, we said it early on that 2017 could be the turnaround year for DC Films, and it seems that reversal of fortune is now happening before our eyes.

Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers and her true destiny.
Wonder Woman will be in theaters on June 2. It is 2 hours and 21 minutes long, and Rated PG-13 for sequences of violence and action, and some suggestive content.
