Fans have been on the Olicity ship for a long, long time, but a child has a way of changing things for a couple.

Oliver Queen not too long ago discovered that he has a child of his own. Is young Williams going to be an issue for Oliver and Felicity going forward? ComicBook.com asked Arrow star Stephen Amell at Comic-Con International: San Diego and he didn't seem overly concerned.

"William's not a baby; he's in sixth grade," Amell said. "It's a thing; it's not messing with us, but it's a thing."

Amell then seemed to remember the explosive ending of Arrow's fifth season that left the future of most of the show's cast in question and added, "Did she live?"

Amell is also a father in real life and that's affected his approach to playing Oliver now that his character is also a father, particularly in scenes with William.

"My first day on the show this year was four scenes with Jack [Moore], who plays Williams," Amell said. "I was f***ing nervous. I was really, really nervous. I had never done a scene with him before and, reading episode 601, I'm like, 'Oh God.' In my mind, this entire episode hinges on us having good on-screen chemistry and Jack was not only equal to the task but excelled. So Oliver being a dad, it's certainly been my most fun thing to play."

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the South China Sea. Oliver returned home to Starling City, bent on righting the wrongs of his family and fighting injustice. To do this, he created the persona of The Arrow and allied himself with former military man John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), lawyer-turned-vigilante Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy), billionaire inventor Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) and his sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland).

Arrow stars Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, Emily Bett Rickards as Felicity Smoak/Overwatch, David Ramsey as John Diggle/Spartan, Katie Cassidy as Dinah Lance/Black Siren, Willa Holland as Thea Queen/Speedy, Paul Blackthorne as Detective Quentin Lance, and Echo Kellum as Curtis Holt/Mister Terrific.

Arrow will return for its sixth season on The CW on Oct. 12, 2017, with the season premiere episode titled "Fallout."
