During a recent interview on the set of DC's Legends of Tomorrow, series star Caity Lotz revealed that this week's medically-induced coma for Sara Lance was almost a bigger cliffhanger: producers wanted the audience to see her for the last time with her eyes open, implying that she had died.

That wasn't going to fly with Lotz.

"I made a big thing because they wanted me to have my eyes open at the end like, 'Oh my God, Sarah is dead,'" Lotz said. "I was like 'Guys, we've done that way too many times.' So you can sleep well tonight knowing that I'm not dead."

After hearing that, some sarcastic jerk -- okay, it was this reporter -- asked her whether she had a favorite of Sara's deaths.

"I actually really don't like dying onscreen like anything that I've ever done," Lotz admitted. "You always die in things, at least I do. Which one was my favorite? Probably the one on the ship when everyone thought I was dead, but I just get sucked out in the water."

That would be her first onscreen death in the DC Universe -- in an episode of Arrow, flashing back to her first apparent death on board the Queen's Gambit.

Instead of dying, she would be rescued by Nyssa al Ghul and indoctrinated into the League of Assassins -- a period in Sara's life that Lotz would like to revisit.

"Actually that is something from the get go: people were like, 'we really want to see when Nyssa first meets Sara, when she finds Sarah.' She basically finds her starving on the street and takes her under her wing and brings her in, so that definitely would be cool to see."

DC's Legends of Tomorrow airs on Wednesday nights at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
