Zack Snyder is sharing his latest accolade with fans via social media.

Snyder shared a photo of his 2017 AFI Award to Vero. The award is for Snyder's work on Wonder Woman.

Zack Snyder developed the story for Wonder Woman and served as a producer. He also had a cameo in the film.

The certificate reads, "American Film Insitute is proud to recognize Zack Snyder and the creative ensemble of Wonder Woman for its contribution to America's Cultural Legacy."

"What a great time," Snyder wrote in his status update with the photo.

Wonder Woman was one of the most celebrated movies of 2017. The film received praise from fans and critics and broke box office records. Wonder Woman is currently the fifth-highest-grossing superhero movie domestically. It is also the 20th-highest-grossing film in general at the domestic box office. The film made $821 million worldwide.

Director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot received specific praise for Wonder Woman. In a recent award acceptance speech, Gadot thanked Snyder for casting her in the role.

"Four years ago, I got tired of all the 'no's and the rejections that I just wanted to quit acting," Gadot said. "But of course the universe works in mysterious and wonderful ways and I received a phone call that I got this very special part. Zack Snyder had this strong vision of who Wonder Woman should be and I am forever grateful that he gave me the opportunity to play this iconic character."

Wonder Woman currently has an 84.42 ComicBook.com Composite Score, the ninth-highest score for a comic book movie. Justice League is now playing in theaters. The film will be followed in the DC Extended Universe by Aquaman on December 21, 2018, Shazam on April 5, 2019, Cyborg in 2020, and Green Lantern Corps in 2020.
