Call Of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles Coming To Xbox One, PC Next Week

We've been enjoying the latest downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PlayStation 4, Zombies Chronicles, for some time now. But some ancey Xbox One and PC owners have been wondering when they would get a turn. Fortunately, we seem to have a pretty good idea.

The official Call of Duty website has indicated that the latest piece of downloadable content for the 2015 release Black Ops III will arrive on Xbox One and PC on June 15th. Although pre-order links aren't available, it appears that it's a pretty solid date – and enables some love for those platforms following E3, where Call of Duty will no doubt be given top-class treatment on the PlayStation 4.

The pack arrived last month for PS4 owners, featuring eight classic Zombies maps from Treyarch games remastered for play in Black Ops III, including classics like Nacht der Untoten, Verruckt, Shi No Numa, Kino Der Toten, Ascension, Shangri-La, Moon and Origins. We reviewed it last month and certainly found it to our liking, despite no really genuinely new content – nor any all-star based maps like Mob of the Dead or Call of the Dead. No matter – it's still a delight for zombie-loving fans.

The maps really present a lot of new content for players to enjoy in Black Ops III, and it really came as quite a surprise, since Activision was focused on new content for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which released last year; as well as the forthcoming Call of Duty: WWII, which was announced last month to heavily favorable fanfare. Considering that Black Ops III is still a favorable seller amongst the Call of Duty community, however, it probably isn't that big a surprise after all.

Whether we'll get any more content for Black Ops III has yet to be seen, since Treyarch is probably hard at work on its 2018 Call of Duty game, since it's next in line to release one. We'll see if anything gets announced next week at E3, though focus will likely remain on WWII for the time being.
