All The Legendary Pokemon Released In Pokemon Go So Far
Pokemon Go players are back in droves to play the mobile game after several impactful changes were [...]
Lugia
The first of several to be released in Pokemon Go, the Legendary Pokemon Lugia is easily a fan-favorite that was a smart choice when pioneering into the realm of Legendaries.
Lugia started appearing atop gyms to be battled during Legendary Raids at the end of Pokemon Go Fest, a Pokemon that was the high point of an otherwise lackluster event. Those in Chicago at the festival received their own Lugia after taking it on in the raids, and players worldwide soon got the opportunity to do so as well.
With plenty of players adding Lugia to their collection and even sometimes catching multiple Lugia, the Legendary Pokemon was a triumphant start to the Legandary era of Pokemon Go.

Following the initial release of Lugia, Articuno was the second Pokemon to be released in Pokemon Go. The icy Legendary Pokemon was also a product of Pokemon Go Fest, the result of Team Mystic contributing the most to the in-game challenges that were presented at the festival, even if these challenges were a bit more difficult than anticipated due to some extensive technical issues.
While it's hard to argue with any Legendary addition to Pokemon Go, some players hoped that Articuno would've stayed in the game for a bit longer than it did before it was swapped out for another Legendary Bird. It was still in the Legendary Raid rotation long enough for players to collect some Articuno along with Lugia, and Trainers are hoping to go 3-for-3 with the most recent Legendary Pokemon that was added to the game.

The third and most recent Legendary Pokemon to be added to Pokemon Go, Moltres brings players one step close to completing their Legendary Bird collection. While it's currently possible to catch the fiery Pokemon through the Legendary Raids, Trainers will have to move quick to take advantage of the opportunity since it won't be a Legendary Raid option for much longer.
Coming in hot with some pretty high base stats, Moltres certainly seemed like it'd be an imposing challenge. Like other Legendary Raids, it still isn't necessarily easy, but the raid-crushers that are already popular like Golem and Tyranitar certainly fair pretty well against this newest Legendary Pokemon.
