The team over at Smosh Games continue their run of releasing Honest Game Trailers based on some pretty great franchises – and this time is no exception, as the team has unleashed its latest trailer, this time taking apart Capcom's Mega Man series.

And to be honest, it's a great looking trailer, nailing down the frustration of the early Mega Man games on the NES (yes, they were hard – at least for players in that time) while at the same time exploring new entries in the series. For instance, it mentions The Adventures of Tron Bonne for the PlayStation (by not quite figuring out what her character is about), Mega Man Soccer ("Because why the f**k not?"), the hardcore Mega Man X series, and even some of the strange Japanese off-shoots that won't make their way here because they aren't worth the translation.

On top of that, there's also mention of Mighty No. 9, and how it's a sad knockoff to the Mega Man series, but it's not really dwelled on too much…which is fine by us.

It's a great trailer that reminds you of the frustrations of the series (like the lack of good hand-eye coordination), as well as the crazy boss battles that you had to endure.

But the biggest highlight? The narrator actually goes and renames pretty much every robot master that you come across in the game. He even tries to name a couple of them after Bomberman, but then corrects himself hastily enough.

You can check out the Honest Trailer above, and be sure to check out Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 now for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
