Monster Hunter Stories Launch Trailer Dives Deeper into the World of Colorful Creatures

The adorable Monster Hunter Stories game is now available for the Nintendo 3DS and to celebrate, the latest video shows off just how beautiful this world is with its vibrant colors and fearless riders.

Unlike other Monster Hunter titles, Stories doesn't just send players out to hunt and take down ferocious beasts; instead the aim is to tame them, ride them, to essentially make these gorgeous creatures a part of your every day life. The launch trailer shows off just how to do that, as well as how to prepare your "monsters" for battle:

The game's official description reads:

"Prepare to embark on an RPG adventure unlike anything the Monster Hunter series has ever known. In Monster Hunter Stories, become a rider and bond with monsters to raise their potential and unleash powerful combos. Players can fly, swim and crash into new areas of the map; discover eggs to collect and hatch; and participate in turn-based battles with a party of multiple monsters."

The sometimes playful turn-based RPG features a world of monsters and characters to meet, love, and to grow with. Some are adorable and meant to cuddle, others are ... well ... "run" comes to mind. With an eccentric cast of human counterparts to adventure with, Monster Hunter Stories is a game that lets players battle it out, explore interesting areas, and meet new friends in unlikely places.

Monster Hunter Stories is out now for its western release after launching in Japan back in October of 2016.
