The new collection of runes coming with League of Legends' Runes Reforged system are expected to be testable as soon as early September once they hit the PBE phase.

With the League of Legends preseason quickly approaching, getting a hands-on look at the new runes that are shipping with the massive overhaul is what plenty of players are looking forward to the most in coming months. Regardless of whether you're excited about the changes or think that they won't work out, the verdict can only be reached after players try them out themselves, and that time looks to be coming pretty soon.

In a recent Gameplay Thoughts update, Riot Meddler elaborated on when players could expect to test out those runes on the PBE. Like Riot Games has done previously, tons of sizeable changes make their way into the PBE as we draw closer to the preseason, and the Runes Reforged system is one of the biggest updates to come in recent season.

"A lot of content, including all of the new Runes, should be there from sometime late September/early October until pre-season launch in, all going according to plan, early November," Meddler said. "Polish, balance and occasionally functionality changes will continue of course while stuff's on PBE, should be possible though to get a look at a lot of what we're planning fairly soon."

Considering the preseason launch of the runes won't occur until early November should their plans go as intended, there will still be plenty of time to iron out the details for the new runes as Riot buffs or nerfs the innovative effects. The time will also allow for plenty of player feedback and discussions that's often shared through the League boards and Reddit, so even if you're not a player with a PBE account, you'll still be able to catch up on players' opinions and news.

More news related to the runes will likely come in coming weeks leading up to th their entrance to the PBE, but look for them in either late September or early October for hands-on testing.
