League of Legends' Star Guardian Event is Ending Soon

League of Legends players have been fending off otherworldly baddies with their teammates during the special Star Guardian: New Horizon event, but that's about to come to an end with the event's conclusion quickly approaching.

An event that revolved around the Star Guardians and the five new members to join the team with their own skins – Syndra, Ahri, Ezreal, Miss Fortune, and Soraka being the latest additions – the special Invasion game mode was one of the main draws for players. Through this game mode and plenty of special Star Guardian-themed missions, players could earn Starlight Tokens that could be crafted into special loot. Those tokens will hang around a bit longer even after the end of the event, but they won't last forever.

An update on the Star Guardian event posted by Riot Games reminded players of that the event will conclude on 9/25 at 11:59 p.m. PT, the date that the Star Guardian missions will be removed. The Starlight Tokens will sit around in players' loot section until 10/16, however, so you'll still have time to convert those to your Star Guardian loot before they disappear.

In addition to the Starlight Tokens becoming unavailable, all of the special Star Guardian bundles that contain old and new skins as well as Summoner Icons will also be leaving the in-client store. The First Star loading screen boarders for the newer Star Guardian skins can only be earned by purchasing the New Horizon Set or the First Star Edition bundles, so Star Guardian fans should act quickly if they're interested in those.

Star Guardian skins are a pretty easy purchase for many players with the skins filling up games since their release, and the Invasion game mode was received pretty well, too. However, the missions did draw some criticism due to the necessity to organize premades to complete some of them. The idea makes sense given the team-oriented theme of the Star Guardians, but it's been a bit frustrating for some players regardless.
