Bandai Namco recently announced a release date for The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia with the game scheduled to be out in North America and Europe on Feb. 9.

A game adaptation of the popular anime and manga The Seven Deadly Sins, the Knights of Britannia game will be released exclusively on the PlayStation 4. It was revealed several months ago during the Anime Expo 2017 that Bandai Namco would be bringing the game to North America sometime in early 2018, an announcement that featured a new trailer for the game alongside the reveal.

During the time of the announcement, not much else was known about Bandai Namco's take on The Seven Deadly Sins, but with the confirmation of a release date, more information has now been released that details some of the playable characters that will be encountered along with some preorder bonuses. There are also plans to add free content in the future as well as the anime advances in its seasons, though it'll take a while for the game to catch up with the show.

"Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride featured in the upcoming season, will be playable in the main game," a press release stated. "He is renowned for gaining immense power during the day, and gradually becoming weaker with the setting of the sun. His Sacred Treasure is the Divine Axe Rhitta and his power is named Sunshine. The brand-new Season - The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments, airing later this year in Japan, will be available as well next Spring 2018 as additional free content for all the players."

If you choose to preorder the PS4 game – which you can do now through Bandai Namco's website – you'll also receive special outfits for some of the characters that are listed below.

"For those who pre-order the game a set of formal wear costume will be available, and features: Meliodas, Ban, King, Hawk, Diane (human-sized), Escanor, Gowther and Merlin," the announcements continued.

A new trailer was also uploaded by Bandai Namco on Monday, seen above, that gives one of the first looks at the upcoming game before it releases on Feb. 9.
