An interesting sighting has been found on the popular Australian retail site 'Sanity'. Nintendo has stated that it has big plans for 2018, but could that also include the hilariously crude South Park: The Fractured But Whole as well? Sanity seems to think so.
One Reddit user grabbed a screenshot from the popular retailer showing that in the 'Coming Soon' section for the hybrid console, South Park: The Fractured But Whole was nestled comfortably in there alongside the standalone Yoshi title.
With all leaks like this, it's important to take this with the proverbial grain of salt until either Ubisoft or Nintendo gives the official announcement. With the Nintendo Direct Mini behind us, and a much larger one rumored to be on the way, it's very possible that we could see a confirmation of this here soon. What does make this a bit fishy, however, is that the date proposed is this March, which is coming up soon. Being a port, and not a new title, it doesn't make sense that this would have been left out of the Mini Direct alongside the Dark Souls Remastered confirmation. That being said, if there really are two directs - it's possible they are simply divvying up the big reveals.
Until the publisher confirms this leak themselves, we're keeping this in the rumor pile for now. With more and more third party titles making their way onto the Nintendo Switch, and some of them very surprising ports, it's not unthinkable to see this rumor come to fruition. We've reached out to Nintendo for further comment and will keep you updated accordingly.
