A new Faction Rally event returns to the world of Destiny 2 and with it comes the promised new items that players have been begging for. According to Bungie, "The event kicks off at 9 AM PST on February 20. This time, you can knock out Lost Sectors as fast as you can kill the bosses with no timers to hold you back. Start thinking about which faction deserves your loyalty. New Monarchy has won the last two rallies. Can they three-peat?"
This event has been going on since launch and gives players a chance to fight for the faction they feel most worth for a chance to earn sweet new gear. Here's the breakdown of the different factions and what they have to offer.
Dead Orbit
The Dead Orbit can be found on the main floor in the Tower. Their main colour scheme will have Guardians donning a familiar black and white motif while fighting for their honor. Their motto? "The Traveler is not our only salvation. Another future lies out among the light of other stars." The Dead Orbit believe that the reckoning is coming and that their only hope of survival is to abandon everything they know and retreat into deep space.
Those who join this faction will follow Arach Jalaal.

New Monarchy
This faction is led by the respected Executor Hideo whose call to arms bears the colours red and white. Their motto? "Hope will be born from the collective triumphs of the king in us all."
The New Monarchy aims to user in humanity into the Golden Age. One interesting little tidbit is that New Monarchy helped to dissolve a previously established faction called Concordat under Lysander. A few discovered easter eggs suggests that Lysander is still alive and is currently rallying support against the New Monarchy away from the City.

Future War Cult
The Future War Cult (represent!) can be found on the upper level of the west hangar at the Tower. Led the exo Lakshmi-2, this vibrantly coloured group will have Guardians donning rich purples, golds, and oranges. With a motto like "There is no future but now. No truth but war," these guys don't mess around and they are always prepared.

If this is your first Faction Rallies, here is what you need to know. First, visit the Tower and pledge your loyalty to one of the factions. Then, it's time to set out into the wild to complete various activities. Once you've earned enough tokens to qualify for a reward, exchange them for packages full of loot.

All three of the weapons above can be redeemed at the end of the event. Here's how that works, "At the end of the event, the faction with the most packages redeemed will offer their prized weapon as a reward. Those who were loyal to the winner get a big discount and can pick it up for 1,000 Glimmer. Everyone else can still get it at 50,000 Glimmer."
