Marvel Studios' conceptual artist Andy Park has shared a cool new piece of concept art from 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy. It's an unused costume design for the Nova Corps, the intergalactic military and police force of the Nova Empire.

"It was an amazing time trying to come up with the look & feel of this totally new franchise in the Marvel Cinematic Universe," Park wrote. "Up until this point it was all Avengers related films. This was our chance to do something different. We saw it as Marvel's Star Wars while working on it."

Back in August 2014, Oscar-winning costume designer Alexandra Byrne explained her and director James Gunn's approach to the Nova Corps uniform. "I think there have been quite a lot of films, which have gone very sort of dark and gritty and real," she told Screen Crush. "And James was very clear about his use of colors. And obviously Nova Corps was where we wanted to have a statement of the color."
