There's been a lot of talk about Brian Braddock — a.k.a. Captain Britain — joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe as of recent. Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the cinematic universe, even went on record saying the studio has "discussed it."
Marvel Studios has brought to life characters far less known than a guy like Braddock, so it seems as if it's a question on when, not if, the character makes his MCU debut. The biggest question remaining on the board, of course, is the actor who would play the character.
Thanks to fan art maestro BossLogic, we have a look at an actor who's no stranger to the genre: Christian Bale. The British actor of Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight fame most recently appeared alongside Oscar Isaac (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) in Terry George's The Promise.
Although it's nothing but fan art — at this current moment in time, that is — the Oscar-winning actor (The Fighter) would join Michael Keaton as actors who previously played the Caped Crusader to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
For those not all too familiar with Captain Britain, the character was created by Chris Claremont and artist Herb Trimpe and first appeared in Captain Britain Weekly #1 (October 1976). After he tried to stop a tech-criminal from infiltrating his workplace, Braddock nearly dies in a fatal accident. The magician Merlyn, and his daughter Roma, appear and offer Braddock the choice between the Amulet of Right or the Sword of Might. Braddock chooses the former and officially becomes Captain America.

While you wait to hear more information about Braddock's potential Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance, be sure to check out Spider-Man: Homecoming — the next film on the MCU slate — as it hits theaters next week.
You can find the official synopsis for Homecoming below, which has a 4.13 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings.
A young Peter Parker/Spider-Man (Tom Holland), who made his sensational debut in Captain America: Civil War, begins to navigate his newfound identity as the web-slinging super hero in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Thrilled by his experience with the Avengers, Peter returns home, where he lives with his Aunt May (Marisa Tomei), under the watchful eye of his new mentor Tony Stark (Robert Downey, Jr.). Peter tries to fall back into his normal daily routine – distracted by thoughts of proving himself to be more than just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man – but when the Vulture (Michael Keaton) emerges as a new villain, everything that Peter holds most important will be threatened.
The cast includes Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, with Marisa Tomei, and Robert Downey Jr. It also includes Jon Favreau, Martin Starr, Kenneth Choi, Michael Mando, Selenis Leyva, Isabella Amara, Jorge Lendeborg, Jr., JJ Totah, and Hannibal Buress.
