Rumor: Silk May Appear In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’

The MCU isn't short on heroes, but fans cannot help but ask for more. The franchise has dozens of iconic heroes already already, and fans think it could benefit from a few more Spider-Man characters. With Tom Holland playing Peter Parker in the MCU, fans think it is only a matter of time until Silk shows up, and one rumor says the heroine will appear in Avengers: Infinity War.

The most recent rumor cropped up today when a stranger Twitter post from IMDb's official account went live. The tweet, which can be seen below, features a video looking over Tiffany Espensen's resume. The actress appeared in Spider-Man: Homecoming as one of Peter's classmates, but fans gravitated to the girl thanks to her role. After all, the film credited Espensen as playing Cindy, and fans connected the girl to Silk rather quickly.

IMDb's post asks fans if "the name Cindy Moon" means anything to them before bringing up the Avengers: Infinity War hashtag. The clip explains that Espensen's online filmography was updated to include a small role in the third Avengers film. Fans began to speculate if the role may mean Silk's arrival to the MCU, and those fans were only flamed when Robbie Thompson retweeted the post. The writer is best known for penning Marvel's Silk run, and the endorsement had fans freaking out.

Silk's addition to the MCU would be a welcome one in the future, but fans shouldn't get their hopes up for Cindy Moon to become a hero anytime soon. The credit added to Espensen's filmography is not something to theorize about; It's been known for awhile now that Peter's classmates will have a small part in Avengers: Infinity War.

Back in July, Isabella Amara told BlackFilm that her character Sally appears in the film. The character was one of Peter's decathlon teammates, and Amara said she had a role in the third Avengers film. With Sally set to reappear, it is not hard to think that Cindy and some of other Peter's classmates will show up in a sequence as well. The gang may get caught up in the mayhem that'll come once Thanos makes his presence known to mankind, so Cindy will probably do more running than fighting during her brief Avengers run.
