"Return of the King" was a Daredevil comic book story arc that saw The Hand kill the woman Fisk loves, and her kids. That tragic act brought Fisk back to America from his place of exile, to team up with his nemesis Daredevil to get revenge on The Hand.
At the risk of us speaking out of turn for the entirety of the Daredevil and Marvel Cinematic Universe fanbase: Hell yes! Let's make it happen!
Vincent D'Onofrio's performance as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin was a major highlight of Daredevil's first season, and was sorely missed in Daredevil Season Two save for a cameo appearance at critical juncture that was a high point of the season. Getting to see Kingpin take center stage in his own miniseries would a welcome addition to the MCU.

Right now Fisk is in jail, but there are implications that another major Daredevil storyline could be influencing season 3, which would see Fisk learning Daredevil's secret identity and dismantling his life - only to end up losing his own status as the Kingpin and his entire criminal empire at the end. Given where both Daredevil Season One and The Defenders left things, both Matt Murdock and Wilson Fist currently have scores to settle with the MCU version of The Hand.
That's all to say: it's easy to see how Daredevil Season Three could lead right into a Return of the King miniseries, before Daredevil's fourth season arrives. It also seems perfectly timed for DeKnight; he's finishing work on Pacific Rim Uprising right now, and will be promoting it all through Q1 next year, so he'll likely be free and ready for something smaller like Return of the King by mid to late next year.
There is currently no release date set for Marvel's Daredevil. Marvel's The Punisher, a spinoff of Daredevil Season Two, will premiere on November 17, 2017. The second season of Marvel's Jessica Jones will premiere in 2018, as will the second season of Marvel's Luke Cage, meaning Marvel's Daredevil Season Three will probably have a late 2018 or early 2019 release. Marvel's Iron Fist has also been renewed for a second season.
