When Thanos finally arrives on Earth, he'll be bringing a thirst for power and destruction that will take Earth's Mightiest Heroes to the brink. But it's starting to look like Iron Man might has the toughest road to travel.

A new photo from Avengers: Infinity War provides a high quality look at Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) out of his costume, surveying the chaos left by Thanos' forces. He is joined by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch), Wong (Benedict Wong), and returning science bro Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) in the background. Check it out below:

The new photo was revealed by USA Today, alongside another picture of Mantis and Rocket at the side of an unconscious Thor. That photo was shown in a scene previewed at Disney's D23 Expo and again at San Diego Comic-Con this past summer, where the Guardians of the Galaxy literally run into the God of Thunder.

The scene in this latest photo is briefly glimpsed in the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War, which also shows the same group of people inside Doctor Strange's Sanctum Sanctorum.

So the photos don't reveal any new information that fans didn't already know, but they are the first official stills of the movie released by Marvel Studios. As we get closer to the premiere date for the movie, those floodgates will begin to open up even more.

With only one other movie on Marvel's docket before Infinity War, the promotional onslaught is set to begin. Product descriptions are already starting to trickle out about the film's many LEGO sets, which tend to reveal key plot points about films before they are released.

It's nice to see the science bros reunited after Hulk's extended jaunt to deep space. While Banner thought returning to his angrier persona in the events of Thor: Ragnarok would cause his human side to cease existing, it seems like he manages to revert back once again.

But what will that dynamic mean for the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers moving forward?

We'll find out when Avengers: Infinity War premieres in theaters on May 4, 2018.
