Millie Bobby Brown, the star of Netflix's hit series Stranger Things, may have found an opening to the magical realm of Narnia.

That Hashtag Show reports that TriStar Pictures extended an offer to Brown to play the lead role of Jill Pole in the studio's upcoming adaptation of The Silver Chair, the fourth novel published by CS Lewis as part of his Chronicles of Narnia.

The report notes that the offer was made back in April 2017, around the same time that Joe Johnston (Captain America: The First Avenger) was announced as the director. The status of the offer is currently unknown.

The Silver Chair is being billed as a reboot of The Chronicles of Narnia film franchise, which has spawned three features to date: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe in 2005, Prince Caspian in 2008, and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader in 2010. The series was launched when interest in fantasy movies was high in the wake of the success of The Lord of the Rings, but achieved only moderate success at the box office – grossing $1.5 billion worldwide - and then stalled out midway through Lewis' stories.

In 2011, Walden Media's contract with Lewis' estate for the film rights to the novels expired after the two groups couldn't agree with how to move forward with the film. Walden Media reportedly wanted to make the prequel The Magician's Nephew next and the estate reportedly disagreed with this direction. In 2013, The CS Lewis Company announced a partnership with The Mark Gordon Company and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair was officially put into pre-production.

The Silver Chair is set less than a year after The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as time flows on Earth, but decades after The Voyage of the Dawn Treader as time flows in Narnia. Prince Caspian himself has aged from a young man into an elderly king and his son, Prince Rillian, has gone missing. Aslan the Lion chooses two English children to go searching for the heir to the throne of Narnia, Eustace Scrubb, the whiny cousin of the Pevensie children who grew into a better person over the course of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and his boarding school classmate Jill Pole.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Silver Chair is currently without a release date.
