There's no secret about it — Netflix is the forerunner in the rapidly-expanding world of streaming. They've crafted original content from documentaries like Making A Murderer to raunchy comedies like American Vandal.

Netflix is home to Marvel TV's street-level shows — Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and The Punisher to name a few — and now, the streaming service is adding an original superhero movie to their repertoire.

Thanks to the brilliant mind of actor Josh Gad, Netflix has picked up a movie called Super-Normal and it has some big-time names attached. Gad and Dan Lin — who recently broughtDeath Note to Netflix — are attached as executive producers while Daisy Ridley (the Star Wars franchise) and Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast) are set to star.

In addition to his starring role, Evans is also attached as an executive producer alongside Jonathan Eirich of Lin Pictures.

While not too much has been revealed about the project thus far, THR reports the project has been a hot-ticket item in Hollywood with big-time studios — including Disney — putting up bids for the property. THR went on the describe Super-Normal as movie that offers a "character-driven, subversive" take on the superhero genre.

Aaron and Jordan Kandell — the brothers behind Moana — are on board to pen the script.
