Ever wanted to know what was going on with your favorite characters just before Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Sure, you could read the comics, novels and short stories that have been published, with another on the way (Bloodlines features Princess Leia and the rise of the Resistance, coming next Tuesday!), but if you would like to watch and laugh at it all, LEGO has you covered.
In a series of four shorts titled "The Resistance Rises," LEGO Star Wars checks in with the characters from The Force Awakens, like Poe Dameron and BB-8 (And Ackbar), Han Solo and Chewbacca, Maz Kanata and special guest Lando Calrissian, and finally, Rey.
What's more, these stories directly cross over with other material! Poe and BB-8's story directly intersects with the C-3PO comicbook one shot from Marvel Comics. The Takodana-based story shows how two disparate gangs teamed up to go after Solo, and more.

The shorts will also be shown on Disney XD during their Star Wars Day marathon on May the Fourth.
