Lucasfilm and Disney are in negotiations with Thandie Newton for a role in Han Solo: A Star Wars Story., according to Variety. The site added, “Newton’s character is unknown.”

The 44-year-old British actress is best known for playing beautiful, razor-sharp madam Maeve Millay in HBO’s Westworld, as well as her film roles in The Pursuit of Happyness and Mission: Impossible II.
Who might she be playing? She could be Sana Starros, although she seems a bit too old for that part–if it’s in the film. Sana was introduced in the Marvel comic book series and intially presented as Han Solo’s wife, but it was later revealed that the two only posed as a married couple for a previous scam.
Han Solo: A Star Wars Story is filming now under directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller (21 Jump Street, The LEGO Movie). Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) stars as a young Han Solo in the era before Star Wars: A New Hope, before he met Leia and Luke and embarked on a galaxy-saving adventure. Donald Glover (The Martian) also stars as Lando Calrissian, with Woody Harrelson (Zombieland) and Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) in as-yet-unrevealed co-starring roles.
Han Solo: A Star Wars Story will land in theaters on May 25, 2018.
