This teaser poster is a direct tie to the original poster for A New Hope, when Luke is holding the lightsaber in front of the face of Darth Vader.
In the poster for The Last Jedi, Rey is taking the same stance. The lightsaber is heading in three different directions, and she is looking up into the stars.
The symbolism is unparalleled, and fans can't wait to see more from the film as December draws nearer.
