Though we’ll get to learn the history of the future of The Last Jedi later this year, the following Star Wars movie will once again delve into the past and tell A Star Wars Story. This time, a certain smuggler will be under the spotlight.
The Han Solo is currently in production in Fuerteventura, Spain, after wrapping up filming in England.
And though all eyes will be on Alden Ehrenreich fulfilling the role made famous by Harrison Ford, there’s also a lot of anticipation for the coolest dude in the galaxy.
Donald Glover was cast to play Lando Calrissian, taking on the mantle from Billy Dee Williams as the scoundrel with the heart of gold. Now we’ve got our first glimpse of the actor as he’ll appear in the new movie, including the trademark mustache, thanks to costar Woody Harrelson.
Harrelson posted a photo of the two actors sharing a meal on his Instagram page, revealing Childish Gambino’s groovy ‘stache in all its glory.
The Han Solo movie is sporting an all star cast already with Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, and Thandie Newton, but Glover’s profile keeps rising higher and higher. The actor returned to television with FX’s breakout hit and Golden Globe-winning Atlanta, and also released an acclaimed album under his Childish moniker called “Awaken, My Love!”
Directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller have assembled a wonderful group of actors for the latest spinoff in the Star Wars franchise, and luckily we wont have to wait long after Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres at the end of this year as Lucasfilm shifts the release dates up.
The untitled Han Solo movie will be in theaters May 25, 2018.
