Lawrence Kasdan and Joe Johnston are now also rumored to be in the running to replace Phil Lord & Chris Miller on the film. Ron Howard was also previously rumored.

Kasdan is an Oscar-nominated writer, director, and producer. He co-wrote The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and co-wrote the script for the Han Solo movie.
Johnston is a director whose resume includes Honey, I Shrunk the Kids, The Rocketeer, Jumanji, Jurassic Park and Jurassic Park III, October Sky, The Wolfman, and Captain America: The First Avenger.
Ron Howard is known for films such as Cocoon, Apollo 13, A Beautiful Mind, and The Da Vinci Code.
Lord & Miller were reportedly removed from the Han Solo movie with three weeks left in production after clashing with Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy.
"Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways. A new director will be announced soon," Kennedy said in a statement.
The movie is still expected to make its current release date.
