Some new images of LEGO sets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi provide fans with the best looks at some of the brand new vehicles that will feature in the new movie, including newer versions of classic ships.
The new LEGO sets feature a new take on the Star Destroyer, a Resistance shuttle, and the brand new “Heavy Scout Walker” AKA the Crab Walker!
The photos hit the internet ahead of their official release date, so we can probably expect better quality and detailed images of the sets features soon.
The photos also feature Kylo Ren’s brand new TIE Fighter, one of the internet’s worst kept secrets regarding The Last Jedi. While we’ve seen hints and glimpses of the new design, this is the best look we’ve had at Kylo’s updated take on the classic starfighter.
We’ve already seen images that leaked of the Heavy Assault Walker, the Star Destroyer, and the Resistance Bomber, but Kylo’s TIE, the Resistance Transport Pod, and the Heavy Scout Walker are all new reveals.
New LEGO Sets
The Heavy Scout Walker looks like a more agile an robust take on the AT-ST, allowing First Order troops more mobility without sacrificing firepower in their fight against the Resistance. That set includes a new minifig of General Hux with a hair piece instead of the Officer Hat he wore in the first wave of Star Wars: The Force Awakens LEGO sets.
The Resistance Transport Pod includes BB-8, Rose, and Finn minifigs. The design of the ship itself almost looks comparable to the Phantom from Star Wars Rebels.
Kylo Ren’s TIE Fighter might be the crown jewel of this wave. It includes the “evil BB-8” known as BB-9E, a First Order Stormtrooper and TIE Pilot, as well as the Knight of Ren himself. This Kylo doesn’t come with a helmet, has an updated pattern on his torso and legs, and a scar going across the eye.
All in all, these are some cool sets to go with Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We are a bit disappointed that a new Luke Skywalker minifigure has yet to be revealed, but we’re sure it’s coming. Star Wars: The Force Awakens sets continue to come out years after that movie’s release. We just need to be patient.
But it's hard to be patient considering all of the awesome stuff that is set to hit at this year's Force Friday.
