Luke Skywalker could be headed towards a dark path in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but that apparently won't involve eating a certain cuddly creature.

The tie-in book Star Wars Made Easy recently provided some disturbing information about Luke's co-inhabitants on Ahch-To, including the adorable porgs. In a section called "Luke's Island Highlights", the porgs were described as "Cute? Definitely. Tasty? Maybe..."

While this sent fans into a bit of an uproar, Mark Hamill is here to set the record straight. In a recent tweet, Hamill argued that Luke has never eaten a Porg, and has been a vegetarian prior to the events of the original trilogy. You can check out the tweet below.

This is sure to be welcomed news to some Star Wars fans, who might find the idea of the franchise's hero snacking on porgs a little upsetting.

But before you breathe a sigh of relief, The Last Jedi's various promotional material does hint that other characters might still eat porgs. A coloring book page showed Ahch-To's caretakers luring - and possibly trapping - a group of porgs, while The Last Jedi's behind-the-scenes video subtly included Chewbacca with a feather sticking out of his mouth.

Fans will get to see these adorable porgs, and possibly find out who snacks on them, when Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in theaters December 15.
