IGN informed Seth Green of Thursday's big Marvel news, which included release dates for three untitled movies that will arrive in 2020, and then jokingly asked him if one of them is for a Howard The Duck film, you know, since Green voiced the character in a Guardians of the Galaxy after-credits scene.

"Oh, nobody said anything to me about that," Green said. "And the truth is, Gunn and I are buddies from Scooby-Doo, so the whole Howard The Duck thing and me getting to be that was like a last-minute who do I know who is in town who can do this V.O. (voice-over) on this day before the color print delivers. ...Nobody is thinking about a Howard The Duck movie!"

Green doesn't believe Howard will ever get a standalone movie again, though, it would be hard to do worse than the George Lucas-produced 1986 disaster. He added, "The most I could imagine is that character could cameo at some point in some other thing." He speculated off-the-top of his head a Howard cameo being possible for a Rocket Raccoon solo film, if he got one.

Listen to Green's comments in the video below. By the way, he concludes the interview with his Howard The Duck voice!
