During a recent Facebook Q&A with fans on Facebook, Arrow star Stephen Amell said that his character, Oliver Queen, will be entering into a relationship on the show, possibly sooner than fans expected. "Will Oliver have a relationship ever?" a fan asked Amell, who answered, "Coming right up!" Of course, it's less clear who the lucky lady might be; while last year was all about Laurel Lance, this year she seems largely out of circulation (she dated Oliver's best friend, who died, leaving her in mourning) but her sister Sara, with whom Oliver had a brief affair and with whom he has the whole "masked vigilante" thing in common, is back in town over the next few episodes. Sara, of course, is Black Canary--the superheroine Ollie has been dating for much of his heroic career and was briefly married to before the New 52 relaunch wiped out superhero marriages in the DCU.

Then there's Isabel Rochev, played by recurring, fan-favorite guest star Summer Glau. Oliver and Rochev had a one-night stand during one of Arrow's missions in Russia, and things have been different between them ever since. Putting the pair together could yield some really interesting storylines because not only is she a danger to Queen Consolidated (she was introduced to the series as someone who wanted to conduct a hostile takeover), but she and Moira (Ollie's mother) seem to have bad blood between them on a personal level. Lastly, of course, there's Felicity. Originally introduced for a small role, the showrunners immediately saw potential in Emily Bett Rickards and brought her on for more guest spots last year--then as a series regular in season two. She and Oliver are the "will they or won't they?" couple of the series, with a relationship that feels a bit too brother-and-sister-like to be entirely comfortable for some. Still, enough fans ship the pair that showrunners will probably have to deal with that eventually, whether it's by hooking them up for real or by giving them a short time together to establish for the purpose of the show that the relationship "couldn't work." Who would you like to see Ollie date?
