Batmetal Returns - The Batman/Dethklok Mashup We Deserve

It's baaaaack. Animator ArhyBES has returned with a second "Batmetal," a mash-up video using Batman and his family as death metal rockers with music by Metalocalypse's fictional(ish) band Dethklok. If the last one was too over-the-top and NSFW for you, then you can probably save yourself the next four minutes. There is torture and the general destruction (and literal destruction) of children's characters beyond, you have been warned.

This time around, there are even more comic book characters and pop culture references. The disturbing imagery of Aquaman being tortured by Ariel of The Little Mermaid probably isn't going to make either DC Comics or Disney (or their fans) super happy, but hey, parody laws, right? Add to that Spongebob, the Avengers, Super Mario... basically, if there's something you've enjoyed in the last 20-30 years that's even slightly nerdy, it probably made its way in to this video. Content aside, the animation quality is very high end (especially Tim Drake's wailing guitar solo from 2:08 to 2:24), and certainly goes to prove that Batman lends himself to pretty much any kind of story out there. Watch this, then look up the "Mayhem of the Music Meister" episode of Batman the Brave and the Bold to see just what kind of range the character can span.
