, we reported on a new project from Evan Young, one of the creators behind the hit graphic novel The Forgotten. As we noted at the time, not a lot has been said about the property since it was optioned in 2009. The Forgotten revolves around a man who has the psychic ability to remove himself from the memories of others, effectively making him a ghost, but the studios involved haven't forgotten about the film adaptation of the Philadelphia-based crime graphic novel. The project was originally set to be written back in 2009 with Leverage showrunner and former Blue Beetle writer John Rogers rumored to be attached, but it's not uncommon for writers to rotate off a major studio project, especially if it isn't moving forward quickly and particularly if it's not their property. Young told ComicBook.com earlier today that he and his co-creator Jareth Grealish are taking a whack at the script, now in its second draft. "There is usually a heck of a lot of time between [when a property is optioned and when a film begins shooting] – if you're lucky enough for something to start shooting," Young told ComicBook.com. "But yes, there has been movement. Jareth and I are working on a second draft of the script, and the work on developing the property with Angry Films and John Wells Productions continues."
